[ He gives it about ten minutes of waiting, and when she doesn't respond -- it's exactly what he does. Her alarm starts a-ringing. Better take care of that before it wakes up the roommates. ]
[ That definitely gets her up, her arms flailing as she struggles to make sense of what's going on. After realizing her alarm's going off--an alarm she doesn't remember setting--she shuts it off, breathing heavily as her heart calms down. Then she sees the message.
...Jerk.
Glaring at the screen, she holds down the power button and shuts the phone off. After placing it back on the nightstand, she stares hard at it in the dim light, just waiting for something to happen. She'd love to have a reason to be more annoyed. ]
[ She doesn't have to ask him twice. He drops what he's doing and brings along his phone from home, charger, earbuds, and that ounce of coke in case she changes her mind. Then, he heads on up to her room -- arriving within a matter of minutes and knocking on the door. ]
Smiling, she sits up, smoothing down her hair after setting her phone onto one of her nightstands and turning on a lamp. Then her face blanches. Oh.
Her other nightstand, a.k.a. her miniature shrine, was probably going to generate some questions if she didn't do something about it. After spending a moment frozen with indecision, she shoves most of the objects down into the lower drawer--notebooks, pens, a gaudy bow, and a bunch of other random things she'd collected. The two bottles of alcohol, one 1/4 full, the other untouched, would have to stay. She can already hear knocking in the distance.
Monika zooms out into the common area and opens the door, looking far too out of breath for such a short journey. ]
Hi~ You--you move fast! Ahaha!
[ After letting him in, she turns to lead them to her room, wincing when he can't see her face. Clearing the nightstand had used up what precious time she'd wanted to use to freshen up a little. Darn it.
Once they're in her room, she pushes the door shut mostly by thumping her body against it. She maybe should, you know, think before she leaps into things. ]
Sorry. It's a little messy.
[ It's got all the signs of a former literature club president strewn around, and lots of cutesy things, but nothing to warrant such a comment. It's almost too clean in some ways. But hey, it's only the second time she's invited someone into her room. She gets self-conscious sometimes!
She steps away from the door, hovering near him, fiddling with one sleeve of her pink pajamas. ]
Can I get you anything? Not that there's much to get, but--I mean. Erm.

Don't make me go find someone else to entertain me.
no subject
don't....
[ It's as much a thinly-veiled warning as it a plea, though that's not easily conveyed through text. ]
i'm awake
[ Not that she has much of a choice... ]
no subject
There she is. Have a good nap?
no subject
sure. greatest nap of my life! 😊
[ Was the sarcasm obvious? She'd make more effort if her brain weren't so dead. ]
will i get another one soon maybe?
[ She senses the answer is no, but a girl can dream. Or not... ]

an ounce of what?
[ She's an innocent. He should know this by now. ]
no subject
Cocaine.
[ Which would explain why he can't leave her alone tonight. ]

[ The message would've come sooner if she hadn't drifted off for a few minutes. She's awake again now for sure. ]
i'm good thanks......
i'll stay up the normal way
[ Probably by occupying herself with wondering about his drug usage. ]

Been imagining what life would be like with you in a normal place.

[ WOULDN'T IT BE NICE TO BE DOING THAT? ]
it's a little cumbersome otherwise since it's so long. it's not as easy to keep tamed when i'm outside of a video game you know 😜

i'm sorry i have to be human for a while every day 😅 i'd never leave your side otherwise ❤️❤️❤️
[ Well, for the most part. She had other people to see, too. But that's not important. ]

why don't you come to my room right now? take a break from your roommates 😉
[ Ones she's pretty jealous of. They're much too close to him, from what she remembers of the cramped temporary rooms. ]
as long as you keep your...whatever it is you do with cocaine quiet, i don't mind
[ As much as she's enjoying all the sweet talk...burying her face into her pillows still sounds sweeter. ]
text --> action
