[Is that the important part of their conversation? Absolutely not. But it feels an important and necessary bit of relief needed after the conversation Jaskier's had with Yennefer. A bit of teasing to his somewhat technologically illiterate boyfriend when he ought to be the savviest user is a welcomed reprieve.]
Remember what I showed you before? The button in the lower right that looks a bit like a signpost and has a small "x" on it? That's your backspace to get rid of anything you didn't mean to press or changed your mind about sending.
As for Yennefer, it's unfortunately about what I expected. She doesn't remember a damned thing about herself. Even simple and basic facts like that she's a sorceress were apparently forgotten. I don't know whether to be relieved or not that there's so much of her life I know nothing about. What little I do know has been immensely complicated to explain to her and even less than that has likely been a comfort to her.
[Even if Yennefer expressed wanting the truth and feeling better knowing it, there wasn't a single thing Jaskier was able to tell her that didn't come with some sort of caveat of some portion of terrible news, too.]
I think it might be better to stay in tonight, if that's alright with you. I don't really want to let Yennefer out of sight just yet and it's freezing at the hotel anyway.
[Not that the house is all that much warmer by comparison, but the methods by which Jaskier can seek out warmth at home are far superior to those at the hotel. Plus, after everything with Yennefer, Jaskier could use a quiet cuddle with his boyfriend at this point. He's exhausted even if somewhat unwilling to say as much so directly.]
[ Ugh. No matter. At least it seems to be properly voice to texting now, so that will make things a lot easier. ]
There are memory issues going on in general. Just from a couple conversations I had in the hotel. The whole thing will probably resolve itself as it often does here. I wouldn't worry about it too much, yasskeyer

Staying in sounds lovely though, canary. I can bring some dinner back from the hotel once I finish up in the library.
[Gods, is Tech ever in for being made fun of when he returns to more of himself... Jaskier opts not to tease too much more right now though. Not after all those efforts to force the voice-to-text to spell his name properly! How could he possibly? But that doesn't mean he's not still chuckling a little to himself. For as much as Tech gives him shit by calling him medieval or old-fashioned or whatever else, Jaskier's never struggled that much with adapting to technology as Tech is now.]
I certainly refuse to start getting grey hairs on Yennefer's behalf, so I'll try not to worry. But it is a little concerning having a sorceress with that much power and no idea how to use any of it properly. Hopefully, she gets her memories back before she starts turning our furniture into slugs or snails or something.
Though I suppose that would be one way for us to get rid of anything we don't like and want to replace. 🐌🐌🤭
Make sure you bring enough for five. Yennefer is quite determined to eat us out of house and home.
[Patently untrue slander about Yennefer, but go on and try to call him out. He'll deny ever having any urges to snack.]
You're concerned about her powers being out of control so you thought you'd contain her in our house?
What are either of us supposed to do in the event she does start slugging our furniture?
I'll try to find a spell to render all powers nullified temporarily. Even if it will effect me at the same time, it should at least keep our home in tact.
Tech, darling, I couldn't turn my back on her when I couldn't stand her at all and nearly every interaction with her led to something that nearly got me or someone I cared about killed. What else was I to do? Let her wander around with no idea who she is and be a prime target for someone who would take advantage of how easily she's choosing to trust right now? 😐🙄 Absolutely not.
Besides, as much as she can be an unfeeling she-demon, you know as well as I do that Yennefer would do the same for either of us if our positions were reversed. So, we're just going to have to risk needing to contain our furniture until she's back to normal and can turn it back if she happens to slip up.
[The house is important, sure, but it's the people that are always, always more important to Jaskier. Hence his lack of eagerness to really ever set down any semblance of roots back on the Continent. It's not so much that he couldn't find a place and be content to be in one spot—although it is true that boredom would likely eventually creep in and he might feel the urge to wander again after a while—as it is that he likes to be near to his people. And very few people he cares about are ever so situated in one spot for very long. Even Yennefer.]
[And the same holds true in Penance even if circumstances have forced a bit more of a sedentary lifestyle by comparison.]
But I don't think she will with us. Well. At least not with me. I'm sure that will be true for you once she's had a chance to meet you again. But regardless, she seems to trust me well enough and she's not exactly trying to bolt out the door.

Voice to text.
Wait, no. How do I unsend that?

I think she knows she's safe here.
