yeah. it's permanent there are protocols in place to prevent people from going "too far" and they'll cut people off before they can get there
but as far as i've come to understand, once a fraction of a soul is gone there's no restoring it
it gets murky, tho because you'd expect it to be a finite resource in that case but i think as long as you don't give it all at once, they can keep pulling from it so there has to be some kinda regenerative properties
idk. i just know the casino proved to be a dead end for what i was looking to achieve
the notes don't go into specifics, but also i think it depends on the person like if someone has a certain bad trait, losing a soul might amp that up like say someone has a short fuse. they might wind up getting angry even quicker than normal shit doesn't take long to set them off
