I basically thrive off of it since with my work schedule, it's rare I'm around to boomerang. ▐ Fourthwalling: I don't mind. If anyone knows him, he'd probably be freaking thrilled. Getting that sweet, sweet attention ▐ Offlimits: There's not much that could come up in the RP sphere that would offend me, but if something doesn't sit right for whatever reason, I will let you know! ▐ Other: EST, primary tagging on weekends, default to brackets usually but don't mind prose IC Permissions ▐ Physical Contact: People in general don't ever tend to touch Tech. In the few canon instances, it was always to cause physical violence. So depending on the circumstance, he might flinch or be uncomfortable. But ultimately, the boy craves some affection so for as awkward as he might be, say...getting a hug, he won't push it off. ▐ Mental Contact: He is a God and partially derived from technology, so this becomes trickier. I don't think typical psychic abilities will work on him. He doesn't have the mind of a human. But I do think other machines (AI, robots, etc) can connect to him almost like a network/sense his presence/even telepathically communicate with him. But I'm open-minded to anything outside of this realm, so let's chat if you got an idea in this sphere! ▐ Flirting & Affection: YES. Like I mentioned, this boy craves affection, but at the same time doesn't know what to do with it. Unless people are overt, he probably won't even realize he's being flirted with. This all-knowing god of technology can be pretty clueless, after all! ▐ Fighting: You are definitely welcome to punch him! Tech Boy has a tendency to run his mouth and insult others. What can he say? It's the petulant millennial in him. He's not so great at fighting and is pretty easy to toss around. On the flip side, when Tech Boy puts his mind to it (which isn't often because he'd much rather cower away from physical violence), he can be pretty strong. But this side of him is only likely to come out if he's fighting for something and/or trying to protect someone he cares about. ▐ Injury & Death: Let's discuss this. Tech Boy has regenerative abilities which makes both of these things pretty difficult to do. He can feel pain/bleed out...but as long as his powers are fully functional, a few pixels will just erase the damage done. ▐ Other: Not sure where to put this since it technically doesn't fit under 'injuries' per se, but I would be very interested in exploring how a computer virus/malware might affect Tech Boy. What he is, is essentially the personification of the internet and all the technology that creates it. So I do think he'd be vulnerable to this kind of attack. If your character is capable and motivated to do so, let's plot! Powers & Abilities ▐ Always Connected: In the series, Technical Boy has been shown to basically be the internet -- always connected with a vast array of knowledge just a thought away. He's your friendly (debatable) neighborhood google and can answer any number of google-worthy questions in the blink of an eye. Of course, this only works as long as he's around electronics and sources of "worship" (ie: people spending an awful lot of time on the network/using a screen rather than in person communication, etc). On the flip side, other technological devices should run a lot smoother when he's around -- basically connecting to his personal network and running off of him. ▐ Technopathy: He can communicate with technology, bend it, alter it, recreate it or control it to his design. The older it is, though, the harder this will be. ▐ Digital Creation: Tech Boy can summon what he refers to as 'the children' which are digital, faceless thugs who he uses as the brawn to enforce his goals. Doing so in this environment is likely to 'drain his battery quick' so to speak, so he will likely only resort to this in the most dire of situations. ▐ Regeneration: He can turn himself into pixels, both at will and because of glitches. These pixels allow him to regenerate from injuries he receives -- typically appearing and then fading into smooth, flawless skin shortly thereafter. ▐ The Touch of God: It was also shown once that he can basically send an electric shock into someone else and rip data from their mind. Using this skill will be an explosion of power and probably leave him weak and vulnerable afterward. ▐ Replicate: Tech has the ability to split himself into two and use each other to upload data, basically. This was a part of his failed upgrade, but because it's not quite explained (and canon got cancelled without finishing. Grr), I will say the current version of Tech Boy is something in between the updated, emotionless version and what he was before that. Which means if he tries hard enough, he can still split. But because of the energy output, it will leave him SUPER drained and probably leave one half of himself unstable. Shipping ▐ Canon OTP: I know there's a fat chance of getting any canon ships because does anyone actually RP from this canon? But just in case I would be so down to play Xie/Tech Boy or Tech Boy/New Media ▐ Canon NoTP: Absolute No on World x Tech Boy. Would love to RP against one, but not for shipping purposes. ▐ Preferences: For me personally, I am down to ship with anyone so long as our characters have chemistry/it makes sense. Tech Boy, however, has a lot of insecurity/trust issues. And while he would definitely say he prefers monogamy, as long as he's in a healthy/secure/loving relationship where everyone is on the same page and no one is cheating...he is open to polyamory. ▐ Smut: I am open to playing smut so long as there's something dynamic happening character-wise -- whether that's building a relationship or characters exploring something new and exciting. I will be honest, smut for the sake of smut bores me so I would much prefer to fade to black if it's just going to be a casual hook up. As for kinks, I'm pretty open-minded. If it makes sense for our characters to do it, let's do it!
